Being a branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering (IBMT) BioKryo focusses on the world leading procedure of the Fraunhofer IBMT for cryobanks. This procedure joins innovative standards for longtime storage of bio- and cryosamples with trendsetting automatization and centralization approaches like the Fraunhofer-Cryostorage-Technology (FCT). With FCT it is possible for the first time to maintain the temperature stable below -140°C during the entire storage process.: from the freezing / cryopreservation point via the storage period up to the moment a sample is used: Each sample always has the same temperature without any temperature deviation.

This is the benefit of a state-of-the-art cryosystem for samples, like it is used successfully in the GHRC cryorepository for HIV samples or the Fraunhofer bioarchive.
